Second-year Information Technology student at SAIT in Calgary and creator of SemSync, a free app that helps students run their whole semester. I love building things, from Python automation to full apps.
I'm a second-year Information Technology diploma student at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, focused on building apps and websites. My main project is SemSync, a free app I designed and built that helps students manage their timetable, syllabus deadlines and grades in one place.
Before that, I spent a work term on the Local Area Network team at Shared Services Canada, writing Python scripts to automate network telemetry collection and log monitoring. That IT background means I understand what happens underneath the code: networks, servers and how things get deployed.
Right now I'm looking for a part-time or remote role where I can keep growing as a developer while I finish my diploma.
A free campus app that keeps a student's whole semester in one place: timetable, syllabus deadlines, grades and chat.
Screens recreated from the SemSync source code, shown with sample data.
Students juggle timetables, syllabus PDFs, due dates and grades across different sites and apps. Deadlines get missed because they're buried in a syllabus nobody re-reads.
A class timetable, a syllabus scanner that pulls out due dates automatically, grade tracking and chat, with selectable colour themes and real campus-style sign-up and profiles.
I built the scanner on a built-in engine with no paid services or API keys, so SemSync can scale to many students without costing them, or me, anything.
Written in VS Code with version control on GitHub. The server is deployed on Render, with my own domain, semsync.ca, set up through Cloudflare. The iPhone version is distributed to beta testers through Apple TestFlight.
Worked in the Connectivity and Security Services Branch on the Local Area Network team. Built and deployed custom Python scripts to automate network telemetry collection and system log monitoring, and analyzed network performance across LAN infrastructure.
Delivered hardware and software technical support, device diagnostics and mobile carrier activations for customers, and managed online order fulfillment and pick-ups.
Gave customers personalized advice on pet care, nutrition and habitat setup, and managed feeding, medication and health monitoring for the animals in store.
Ran front-desk operations for a busy property management firm as the main point of contact for clients, tenants, property owners and contractors.
I'm building my career toward software and app development. Here's the kind of opportunity I'm hoping to find.
A developer or IT role that fits around my classes. I'm available evenings and weekends through April 2027.
Front-end, full-stack and mobile work is where I want to grow, building the kind of things I built with SemSync.
I want to work alongside experienced developers, write real code and ship features people actually use.
Once my diploma wraps up in April 2027, I'm available full-time from May through August.
Have a role you think I'd be a great fit for, or just want to say hi? I'd love to hear from you.
